While I absolutely approve of the job applications that discourage use of text generated by LLM tools, I think they need better phrasing than “I agree to use only my own words.”

Even setting a low ceiling like 10 relevant job applications a day, you notice the duplicates and repostings pretty darn quick.

(see if a recruiter doesn’t include it, that’s a suggestion they actually read your profile rather than shotgun-messaged everyone with the word “Python” or whatever buzzword in their profile)

at the same time if they leave it in it could also mean they’re trying to respect your naming choices
so there isn’t a whole lot of merit to the idea but I’ve been too lazy to remove it
