@grmpyprogrammer My first paid job was restaurant stuff: dishwasher, busboy, janitor.

The eventual transition to dev was pretty seamless, though it took me a couple years to admit the similarities. Thought i didn’t want to be a maintenance dev, but that’s all there is after oh say a week at best.

I do lean towards the cabinetmaker because we’re making familiar things with new flourishes. But we gotta be careful saying our analogies out loud or somebody with a marketing budget will come along, take a perfectly fine idea, and screw the whole thing up. Remember “Software Craftsmanship,” “Hacker,” and even “Agile?”

You can play #Valheim as a survival sim. I play it as Martha Stewart RP, where the monsters and bosses and explorations are just what’s in between you and A Good Thing.

Pondered as I apply finishing touches on the matching shirt and pants that used to be two trolls interfering with berry picking for a nice jam I’d planned.

@capnhoppy @webology I’ve been playing a couple years now and just recently started a game with intent to go after the second boss. They really make the goofing off part of the game fun!
