Somebody just sitting out revving their motorcycle in parking lot or garage. The motorcycle sounds healthy. No sputtering or popping. Clearly they take decent care of it.
I’d hate to have to feed it to them piece by piece.

@baldur when asked by my therapist recently if I had depression, I gave a solid no.
Things right now are rough, and yeah I anticipate worse. We’re sad. That’s valid. If we get stuck in sad too often, that may fry a few wires and then we’ll be depressed.
Good luck on the search for a strategy. Mine has been to use many keyword filters in my social media usage to tune out at least some wails of despair, and ration when and how I keep up on the news of the day.
Also you reminded me to get a thesaurus. “Depressing” is a convenient word but I think I’m gonna need more variety and specificity to describe the next little while.

Playing with a fidget stim while pondering a code project. Dog comes downstairs. Get up to walk the dogs. Eww my breath. Grab toothbrush and toothpaste. Is that kitty litter on the floor? Fetch broom, start sweeping.
Pause. Realize I’m trying to balance broom and dustpan without dropping toothbrushimplements or dislodging the fidget stim wrapped around my hand. Dogs looking at me very attentively.

Missed the first half of a documentary on yacht rock so before @IamMrsGeek wandered off to another room she restarted it.
Which, given how I started infodumping about the Thundercat song at the sight of Michael MacDonald, was reasonable and appreciated.

@bitprophet on the fate of tags, keep in mind that most of my notes are in Logseq, where tags are pages, just differently linked.
I have shifted towards intentionally keeping my notes light on structure. If I’m trying to hard to turn a note collection into a database, I just give in and use a database. PKM analysis is limited to link and content scrutiny using techniques borrowed from the Obsidian Graph Analysis plugin.
But for the structure you’re describing, you’d want to dig into properties and plugins for sure. Breadcrumbs plugin is pretty good for defining taxonomies, though less important since Obsidian upped their props game. Then Excalibrain gives an alternate graph view based on whatever tags / props / folders you deem important.

Made an oven-fried chicken. Didn’t have enough breadcrumbs and no urge to make my own, but we had Trsicuit crackers so hey crushed Triscuits for breading!
(and cardomom, cumin, cinnamon, garlic, etc)

@jnkrtech I continue to reference the recipe because of the ADHD brain lock problem. “It’s important I remember this. Wait, remember what?”
There’ve only been a few recipes I made so often – dozens of times, with multiple experimental variations – that I could go in and prepare it with confidence from memory. And that was a few decades ago, so I couldn’t do it again today.
